This is a blog written by my friend John in response to an article he read in a newspaper (he failed to specify which). As it was written in Facebook, I'll reproduce it here, with full credit to him, because I am of much the same opinion.
"Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn); and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Panadol, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but, could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realise that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers : I Know My Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realised he was gone. If you still remember him pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing." ~ John-Arnaud Carter

Dear Santa...
Dear Santa,
This year I've been busy!
Last week I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). Last Monday I ruled Duluth, Minnesota as a cruel and heartless dictator (-700 points). In November I ruled Canada as a kind and benevolent dictator (700 points). Last Tuesday I bought porn for angeko_neko (-10 points). In August I committed genocide... Sorry about that, princessxia (-5000 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-4991 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!
Sincerely, psionicentity |

"Ichirin no Hana ~Huge Hollow Mix~" - HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR |

A woman was in bed with her lover when she heard her husband opening the front door. "Hurry!" she said, "stand in the corner." She quickly rubbed baby oil all over him and then she dusted him with talcum powder. "Don't move until I tell you to," she whispered. "Just pretend you're a statue."
"What's this, honey?" the husband inquired as he entered the room. "Oh, it's just a statue," she replied nonchalantly. "The Smiths bought one for their bedroom. I liked it so much, I got one for us too."
No more was said about the statue, not even later that night when they went to sleep. Around two in the morning the husband got out of bed, went to the kitchen and returned a while later with a sandwich and a glass of milk.
"Here," he said to the 'statue', "eat something. I stood like an idiot at the Smiths for three days and nobody offered me as much as a glass of water."

Well, exams are over, and it's a week or so before I go back home with nothing to do ^_^;
So, exam analysis? Hm... Well, didn't go THAT bad, all things considered. Inorganic was good, Organic was a bit doubtful, and Physical was bad where I knew it was going to be and quite alright elsewhere. Still, I think I passed everything. Now I just hope I got the required 50% overall this year to remain on the MSci.
No more news, mainly beacuse I've been doing buggerall. And, you know what? Buggerall is fun XD
